Groove It — Terms and Conditions (India)

Last updated: 9 September 2026

1. About these Terms

The Groove It app is operated by Luvkush Sharma, an individual operating under the business/app name Groove it, at SBI Colony, 1st Phase, J. P. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560078, India. Our website is grooveit.in. “Groove It”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to this operator, not an incorporated private limited company. These Terms govern your use of the Groove It app and its related discovery services in India (“Service”).

Please read these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Users are shown and asked to accept these Terms during sign-up. These Terms are intended to govern the relationship with adults who are legally capable of accepting them. They do not rely on a child’s acceptance to create an enforceable contract against that child, or replace any consent required for personal-information processing.

2. Users, accounts, and social sign-in

Anyone may explore Groove It’s workshop listings without signing in. Users under 18 may do so only with a parent or lawful guardian’s supervision. Children do not create independent Groove It accounts. A parent or lawful guardian must create and control any account used to manage a child’s access, external registration, or payment-related action.

Provide accurate information and use a sign-in account you are authorised to use. Do not impersonate someone or share Google/Apple passwords. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access to your Groove It account. Users are not automatically responsible for activity caused by our own security failures.

Google and Apple sign-in are for adult account holders and remain subject to each provider’s eligibility rules. The information received through those flows is described in our Privacy Policy. Apple may offer Hide My Email, which supplies a relay contact address. Social sign-in does not itself establish adulthood or parental authority, so Groove It must use its age and adult-confirmation controls before enabling an account or child-registration feature. We do not ask users to misstate their age to bypass provider restrictions.

Disconnecting Groove It in provider settings can affect future sign-in and is not necessarily a request to erase records Groove It already holds. Use Groove It’s account-deletion option for that purpose. Deleting a Groove It account does not delete a Google or Apple account.

An event may have separate age, admission, experience, or health requirements. A listing does not establish that a user meets them.

3. What Groove It provides

Groove It helps users discover dance workshops, artists, studios, and related events. Current listings are independently compiled from publicly accessible Instagram posts. Groove It may reproduce workshop posters, photographs, captions, and logos, embed Instagram videos, manually enter factual dance-video and event details, and display or link to the original Instagram source. A person or business may therefore appear without having created a Groove It account, submitted the material, or entered into a partnership with us.

Unless expressly identified otherwise, Groove It does not organise, teach, supervise, or operate the listed workshops and does not act as the studio’s payment collection agent. A listing alone does not indicate endorsement, sponsorship, a verified partnership, or a guarantee of safety or quality. If we use a verification label, we will explain what was checked; it does not guarantee every aspect of the event.

4. Listing information and corrections

Schedules, venues, prices, instructors, eligibility, availability, and cancellation arrangements may change. We take reasonable care when preparing listings, but information may become incomplete or outdated. Check important details with the organiser before travelling, registering, or paying. A displayed price may not include charges disclosed by the organiser at checkout.

Report inaccurate, misleading, unsafe, infringing, or unauthorised listings to support@grooveit.in. Artists, studios, organisers, photographers, and other rights holders may request correction, a source explanation, or removal without opening an account. We will assess the request and take appropriate action, including restricting a listing while investigating where warranted. Public availability on Instagram does not itself establish permission to reproduce protected material. Nothing here limits our responsibility for statements or content we create or for obligations imposed by law.

5. Registration, external websites, and payments

Selecting “Register” opens the relevant studio’s, organiser’s, or booking provider’s website, which may appear inside an in-app browser. The destination remains an external service even when displayed within Groove It.

Selecting this button does not reserve a place, complete a booking, or confirm payment. Registration is completed only through the organiser’s process and confirmation. Review the destination, organiser identity, total payable amount, and applicable terms before submitting information or paying.

For a child’s booking, a parent or lawful guardian must manage the external registration and payment and confirm that the workshop accepts the child’s age group. Groove It requires the adult to confirm before opening the external page. A general listing is not a promise that an event is suitable for children. The organiser may require additional permissions or adult accompaniment.

For these external bookings, payment is collected by the organiser or its payment provider. Groove It does not collect or hold the workshop payment or issue the organiser’s receipt. The organiser’s booking, payment, cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms apply, subject to mandatory consumer rights. External services also have their own privacy policies.

Contact the organiser or relevant payment provider first about an external payment, failed booking, refund, or duplicate charge. You may also contact Groove It about a misleading listing, suspicious link, or our own service. We cannot independently refund money held by an organiser, but will address complaints about our conduct and cooperate where appropriate. This allocation of roles does not exclude any liability or assistance obligation imposed on Groove It by law.

6. Participation in workshops

Organisers are responsible for delivering their events and communicating their rules. Follow reasonable venue and instructor directions and assess whether the activity suits your experience and circumstances. Dance activities can involve physical exertion and risk of injury. This statement is not a waiver of claims arising from negligence, deficient services, or other rights that applicable law protects.

Parents and guardians should confirm supervision, collection arrangements, age suitability, and safeguarding arrangements directly with the organiser. App consent does not give an organiser permission to photograph or publish information about a child.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to commit fraud, impersonate someone, publish unlawful or infringing material, harass others, obtain personal information without authorisation, compromise security, or interfere with normal operation. Do not use automated access that bypasses access restrictions or materially burdens the Service. Restrictions do not prevent activity expressly permitted by applicable law.

8. Content and intellectual property

Groove It’s software, branding, and original content belong to us or our licensors. Artists, studios, and other rights holders retain their rights in their own names, trademarks, photographs, posters, and other material. Viewing a listing does not give users a licence to reproduce its content for other purposes.

If you voluntarily submit material to Groove It for a listing and accept these Terms, you confirm that you have authority to provide it and grant us a non-exclusive licence to reproduce, format, and display it as reasonably necessary to provide that listing. You retain ownership. We will obtain separate permission for materially different uses such as unrelated advertising. You can request withdrawal of submitted material at the contact channels in section 12; necessary legal records and limited backup copies may remain as explained in the Privacy Policy.

This submission licence applies only to material actually submitted by an authorised person. It does not create permission from an artist, studio, photographer, or other person whose material we independently find online.

To report an infringement, identify the listing and material, explain your rights or authority, and provide a contact method and relevant evidence. Please do not send unnecessary identity documents. We will review the report, may request proportionate verification, and will take appropriate action under applicable law.

9. Free service and commissions

Under the current model, Groove It provides free discovery/listing services and does not collect registration or listing commissions. If paid placement, referral compensation, or service charges are introduced, we will clearly disclose them and update the relevant terms before they apply. Free inclusion does not establish endorsement or a partnership.

10. Service changes and account restrictions

We may change features or temporarily interrupt the Service for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, material breaches of these Terms, security risks, or legal requirements. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the reason and offer a way to ask us to review the decision.

You may stop using Groove It and request account deletion through Profile → Delete Account, with support available at support@grooveit.in. The account becomes inaccessible immediately after confirmation. Groove It completes deletion of the account and associated Groove It data within 180 days, subject to specific lawful retention described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting a Groove It account does not cancel an external workshop booking or delete independent records held by an organiser or payment provider.

11. Responsibility and limitations

We will provide the Service with reasonable care. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, the availability of a particular event, or that an external organiser will perform every obligation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by an independent organiser or payment provider, or indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. These provisions do not exclude responsibility for our own actionable conduct or impose a blanket waiver of user remedies.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Statutory consumer remedies, data protection rights, and rights relating to deficient services, misleading representations, or unfair trade practices remain unaffected.

Include enough information to identify your account or listing and explain the issue. The proposed operating commitment is acknowledgement within 48 hours and resolution within one month, subject to any shorter mandatory deadline. Confirm the support process before publishing this commitment. Where the law requires redress within a fixed period, that legal requirement applies. These channels do not restrict access to consumer commissions, courts, or competent authorities.

13. Indian law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes may be brought before the courts, consumer commissions, or other competent forums that have jurisdiction under applicable Indian law. This clause does not override the jurisdiction of a consumer commission or other competent forum, or any mandatory right to bring a claim where you reside or otherwise under applicable law. Contacting us first may help resolve a dispute but is not a compulsory barrier to a statutory remedy.

14. Updates and general provisions

We will publish revised Terms with their effective date and provide reasonable advance notice of material changes where practicable. We will seek renewed acceptance where required. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as legally possible. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive it for all future occasions.
